Default 88-91 hb auto to stick convert?????????

i own a 1988 civic hb but its an auto !!!! i have a b20 with a b16 trany and the hasport kit but need some info on swaping to a stick all info is helpful thanx

Well it depends on if the tranny is cable or hydro.With cable trannies they are fairly easy to swap from Auto-manual.But a auto to manual hydro swap is much more complicated.I know that basically all you need to do is bolt the tranny on to the motor(if it's a cable tranny) and go but of course it will be a little more complicated since you mention you have a b20 swap with b16 tranny or you plan on swapping them in some time in the near future.Since you say you have the hasport kit thats pretty much all you need for now is the proper mounts for the motor and tranny and the proper linkage for a cable tranny.

Its gonna be a little bit harder than what he said...
you'll need to change out the pedals too, since auto's dont have a clutch pedal.. then you'll have to run a clutch cable. also, like 91hob20hb said, you'll need to find a shift linkage as well, and switch the shifters in your floor. Theres also gonna be some wiring you'll need to do, you'll have to somehow make the car think its always in park, or else your key will never come out of the ignition.

I know theres more too.. but I cant think of it all right now...
