vehicle speed sensor question

Default vehicle speed sensor question

I need a vehicle speed sensor for a 90 b18a block...will any vss work from any b-series or do I need a specific one ?

Is the wheel speed sensor for input into the ECU of the anti lock brake system? If so I would pic one up in the junk yard. That kind of part might be difficult to find at the local auto parts dealer I would think, although not sure. Good luck!

im pretty sure any will work. even from a sohc. could be wrong. wait for someone else to response.

They are actually different throughout the years. Be sure to take yours out to match it at the junkyard. They have slightly different bolt patterns. Good luck.

you'll need one from a cable b-series tranny, i'm not sure about any sohc trannys though. 88-91 jdm tranny or 90-93 teg tranny will do fine, later model b16s and integras use an electronic vss, not a speedometer cable setup, so that won't work for you.

*edit* what car is this going into? that will determine what you need
