Default HELP-Clutch Question

I have a 1994 Honda Accord. The other night when I started the car I noticed the clutch pedal was a little more loose than usual. Gradually as I kept driving, the clutch pedal lost more and more tension. A few shifts later and I could not get the car in gear. The car will not go into gear, while running. Not sure what this could be. It is the first Honda/hydrolic clutch I have ever had. Could the cable be snapped? Cylinders need to be bleed?

Any response would be greatly appreciated....

had a similar situation recently. i put the clutch pedal in....then it wouldnt come back out. sounds like youve got a leaking master and/or slave cylinder. it was a $350 dollar repair for me (both of mine were leaking). sorry about your luck!

a lot of times slave cylinders go bad - you can fix for cheap... check both master and slave to see where the problem is.

I had the same problem on my '92 accord. I spent $70 on a new slave cylinder and an hour and the problem was fixed. I was told that this is pretty common with these cars. You might also try "bleeding" at the slave cylinder to get rid of any air that might be in there. Good luck....
