Transmission Question

Does anyone here knows if the B16A & B18C share the same transmission?

umm...no. a B16 (S80 I believe?) has shorter gear ratios.

Do you want to know if they are the same, or is the question you really wanted to ask are they interchangable?

Yea, what I meant was are they interchangeable?

Oh yea, the 99 Si tranny (B16A), would it fit on the 93 hatchback (D16)?

No. B and D-series trannies are not interchangable.

dude... how can you say that when s80's are type r transmissions. gsr's have y80 transmissions and b16's come with 3 different types of transmissions and gsr one. ek4 (sir) and eg6 (jdm civic sir) comes with y2, eg2 (delsol) comes with y21, dc2 (gsr) comes with y80, jdm crx comes with y1. gearing's slightly different and the y1 has the smalles final gear.
