My friend and I are swapping a b16 into his eg hatch. We are using the HAsport motor mounts. I was under the impression that all he would need besides the mounts, would be the rear tranny mount bracket from a 99-00 si. When we went to put the motor in yesterday, we got the driver's side, and passenger's side mounts in, but the rear mount won't line up with the si mount bracket. The hole on the bracket sits about an inch forward of the hole in the mount, and I don't think there is a way to get a whole inch of play out of those beefy mounts. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

you need a rear motor mount from an integra, such as an LS or GSR.

 

did my swap in early january... the rear mount we used was the stock rear honda motor mount from the b16 del sol (95 or so)

yes....


99-00 SI will NOT work in an eg....in an EK yes...but no go on eg....

 

Thanks for the replies. Is there any particular year and model I should ask for at the dealer? We already got the 99-00 si mount bracket, and I don't want to end up with yet another unusable bracket. Will any year teg that came with a b18 work? Thanks.

any 94-01 integra rear mount bracket will work for sure. i think 90-93 integra rear mount brackets will work too, but i'm not 100% sure. since you have a B16 rear motor mount bracket try trading it with someone who has an integra one. save you some money.

 

the driver and passager from ur old motor will work the only thing u need is the rear braket from a ls or gsr. if u run ac they u need that one to but if not ur good

 

you should use ur gsr or ls mount they work perfect everything should line up

 

 

just use your stock civic tranny mounts..you dont need aftermarket mounts for the rest. all its gonna do is make your car shake. gsr mounts are fine.

you need INTEGRA FRONT BRACKETS......and civic tq mounts that attach to the frame via 2 14 mm bolts....

civic BRACKETS WILL NOT WORK ON FRONT OF ENGINE.....

 

Sorry to jack your thread but if i am puttin a b16 sir 2 i would use the stock jdm rear mount, side engine mount, right front mount and the stock tranny mount from the dx. Didnt' want to start another thread..
