Default T1R Catback

I can't get a straight answer for this question! Does the T1R catback have a 2" bottleneck where the bpipe meets the axle back? I'm looking into a purchase although don't want it if this is true. Please no "my buddy's doesn't" or "I think so", just straight answers.

"Almost positive" it is straight back with no bottlenecks Goose (exactly what you didn't want in an answer)

Just wanted to clear up any confusions if I could... I spoke to AJ earlier the month and the old T1R did have bottleneck, but the new designs do not. T1R!

LoL, no prob, I was asking because I saw a pic. while doing a T1R search where it bottlenecked to 2" at the end of the B pipe. According to ShuaiGuy this has been cleared up. I just hope he's right about that

Anybody hear this exaust in person? (The new version). Is it rediculously loud? Also, posts like these keep me up in the air as to whether or not I'll take the plunge https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=465708

The spoon N1 is not 2.5" however...

I have the newest T1R on my gs-r and I can tell you that it seemed loud at first on the hwy at about 80 mph in fifth driving home from R&D, but then I got used to it. Traveling at 60 mph in fifth it is silent (of course this is with gs-r gearing). I had never driven with an exhaust on my car, so it was odd at first, but it is a deep nice sound now. The first night I had it I got home from R&D and ripped it while sitting in a parking spot next to a brand new Explorer. As I passed 6k rpm the explorer alarm started blaring and I jumped a mile. Needless to say I was sold on the T1R unit.

The exhaust is pretty expensive...I paid $750 shipped for the full catback and the 2.5'' racing converter. I bought it from RandDmotorsports but it took 9 months to get the converter in...The exhaust looks like any N1 really but 2.5 inches instead of the run of the mill 2.36-2.38 inch ones. I love the exhaust, sounds a whole lot better than my old Tanabe Racing Medallion, and really good wields and craftsmanship. I would suggest it if your pockets are deep.

I love my t1r and it is not too loud. just deep and throaty. Hell my dad even loves the sound and hes an ex cop/ harley mechanic . Gains all around on the butt dyno after installing this a jdm itr 4-1 and a smsp 2.5" cat.

I second all of that, except the dad being a cop part. I have the jdm 4-1, carsound, and t1r and the gains were impressive to me and it was def worth the 6 month wait for the setup.

Wouldn't the twinloop cause a bottleneck going from 2.5" to 2.38"? correct me if I'm wrong
