can someone tell me what this means? *pics
i was adjusting my ride height when i took off the drivers side wheel and found this jizz on the wheel...its not mudd, its some sort of oily substance. i think it might be axle grease but i dont know what the hell is going on.

I'd never reboot an axle that already had a completely torn boot on. Once the grease slings out like that you're taking a chance on the joint itself.
Time for a new axle, and it's not hard to do if you follow my steps here:

IMO he'd be safe just doing hte one to save money. Looking at your bushings, boot, and basic condition of everything in the pic, it looks like a small hole caused by something other than wear.

Yes. with that much grease already out of the joint a quick boot is not a good idea. just replace the whole thing and be done with it.

just went to napa to get an axle (im trying not to spend like 3 bills on one from honda) but i guess they dont have axles availble for 96-00 civics.
the guy did say that they had them for older civics so my question is: will an axle off a 92-95 civic work?

i dont know what napa you went to but they can have them next day, i buy all the axles we ever need from thier and they have a lifetime warranty, get both and it takes no time to do unless you are my boyfriend, then it takes a few hours
