Default what fmu disk and ignition should i use?

1987 crx si
ew4 (d15a3)
ihi turbo pushing 5 psi intercooled
stock head and bottom end (right now) 8.7:1 compression
93 octane pump gas

currently running a larger fuel pump, stock fpr, a 12:1 fmu (though i dont know what injectors it is 12:1 for), and stock injectors.

occasionally i get sputtering and strong hesitation, but if i let out of the throttle and get back on it, it goes again. im not sure if this is fuel or ignition but a turbo friend of mine told me i am running rich so i thought i'd ask the board.

thanks for any advice,
-tony

You dont need that much fuel pressure with only 5psi wow. you know that a 12:1 disc will increase fuel rail pressure 12psi for every 1 psi of boost it sees right? If your base pressure is 38psi then you're running about 90psi of rail pressure at 5psi. I can only imagine how distorted the spray patterns of those poor injectors are.

You're running way to rich. Is the outside tip of your tailpipe nice and black?

I'd step WAY down honestly. Grab a recalibration kit from vortech that comes with all the discs in it and start stepping down some.
