im going back to california this summer to finish my car. What im worried about is that i live in michigan, and that im going to be driving my car back at the end of summer. With the new paint job on, you think it will survive on the way back home? Never been threw desert roads, any suggestions would help. thanks.

 

you might want to wait a couple months until the paint totally cures so you can put a good coat of wax on it first.....i was told to wait 3 months before using any wax or anything on it when i got mine painted, and unfortunatly, it was lovebug season about the time my car was painted, so theres a couple spots on my car where the paint got damaged from the lovebugs even though i cleaned the front off every day after i drove it....dont know about driving thru desert roads though, just bad experience w/bugs! good luck!

 

Painters tape is all you need. Tape the bumper, hood, fenders, and lower door to keep the chips off, it comes right off when you get home, and won't take the paint off.
