Well, my engine sort of took a **** on me today, right as I'm getting ready to leave for work. I'm guessing that a piston ring blew out or something, as the spark plug on cylinder 2 was fouled real badly really quickly. Swapping it out for a fresh one did not improve things, and I knew I was due for a rebuild anyway, and that #2 was having some sort of leakage.
If I can't finish the rebuild before then and/or if I can't get ahold of another car for the weekend, I'll be putting the spot(s) up for sale to anyone interested. I won't know for sure yet, and probably won't until it's a bit closer to the date, but if anyone wants dibs just in case, let me know.
Mods: Does this count as a "for sale" ad? I figured only the guys in here would be interested, let me know if this violates the rules.

Adam, I may be interested in the FATT spot if you cannot make it. Just give me a call and keep me updated. 3 Days on SUmmit Main would be a blast!

FATT is for "Friday At The Track", a one-day track thing held at Summit Point by BSR on, you guessed it, Fridays.
Here's a little account I wrote up a while ago... It has links to stuff.

Just a brief warning that hard-core NASA folks might be aghast at some of the rule changes.
You don't have to wear long sleeves and long trousers at FATT, for example, and even Seat Time groups can't pass in corners (at least not by the rules).
It's also usually a lot of track time in one day.
Probably the most noticeable difference is how often they switch instructors. At an FATT, you'll seldom have the same instructor twice. They believe this allows you to benefit from a lot of different experience in a short time.

If you get bored out on the track, ask one of those BSR guys to help you perform a J turn down the shoot.

I would not suggest joking about "offs" and reckless driving at BSR days............ But that is a whole different convo..........
