ebay strut & tie bar set
So, my buddy and I installed the ebay crx strut and tie set I bought for $80. It came with the upper & lower front and upper & lower rear. We installed all but the upper rear. The install wasn't that fun, being that the mounting points interfeared with some brackets & rear sway bar. The rear lower tie bar bolts touch the sway bar. It was a tight fit and a **** to install. I'm gonna have to get rid of it when I upgrade the rear sway though. But, all in all, the car is stiffer around corners and it the improvements are noticable. Good $80 spend.
Also, got the car running smooth again. I just replaced the cap and rotor a few months ago but then the car kept dying. Tried fooling around with the timing and so forth but couldn't figure it out. So yesterday, we bought a new cap and rotor and now it runs like a champ again. The car runs good for having 240k miles. It was a good day.

if i understood you right, the tie bar doesn't attach to the sway. so, if you don't have a sway bar, the tie bar will still bolt up. do you at least have the origional sways?
