Short shifter questions
Im looking to get a short shifter for my 01 GSR. Ive seen ones that are around $50 from companies and ones for around $10 on ebay. Are the ones on ebay just about the same as the more expensive ones? Also, if i get one, will I still be able to use by stock shifter ****?
Save your money and get a good one. I think that the GSR, stock one is the best around. I have heard after a long time the short shifters can mess up the syncros.
Skunk2 is a good company.

I've been rocking the B & M Short Shifter for over 10k, nothing wrong with my tranny. If it snaps they replace it for free. Nothing has happened with mine yet.

yes. i have a skunk2 ss, and it is much smoother than stock. and you can still allow the syncros to line up by shifting slower.
short shifters dont kill syncros, people kill syncros

Just wondering, how do people actually ruin their syncros?? shifting to fast or something?

technically they tend to shift the gears before depressing the clutch in causing the syncros to grind, hence the reason some IDIOTS blame the shifter for their own idiocy
short shifters don't damage trannys, people do. btw I've have my skunk2 shifter in my car now for over 80,000 miles and still now problems

those cheap ones are a prime example of the saying, "you get what you pay for." I have seen them bent, broken, and they often fit like **** and offer hard shifts. I have a skunk2 double bend and I love it. Skunk2 =
