Default Need Help, Specs, And insight for the horrible future

i had just blown my motor the other day and, naturally im a bit down lately. Escpecially with ideas and helpful info... well i got 130K on the motor and trans and the motor ran great untill yesterday when she died but the tranny needed to be re-built. right now im struck on ideas of what to do ... i have about 1000$$ and want to know how to either get a b16 for cheap w/trans or even fix the obliterated valves inside my head. If im goin to fix (which would prove to be a good learning experience) i would need info from someone with head work experience under their belts. this is where i get stressed out-> i could fix the heads and mill them to perfection with little spendage but the tranny would still be busted... ? what to do?

so, what happened to your motor?
bent valves?
you could fix it, but it night be cheaper for you to just buy a used head and slap it on there; you could even get a vtec head.

your tranny is grinding?
look at this:

the fix might be temporary, but hey its $100

and just do it yourself
