OK have a little question I have a b16a1 from my old crx swap, I just bought a 1996 HB civic and id like to do the swap in to my new car what all is needed.
So far I found ....Hydro to cable kit, and 99 civic Si mounts..any info or links will be greatly appreciated. I really do not want to buy a new engine.

This might be a dumb question but could I use the complete 99-00 si wiring harness to replace the interior and engine harness from my car, so there would be no wire cutting.

99 SI/96+ B20 driver side timing belt mount
99 si rear mount
front a/c mount(or aftermarket driverside mount)
for easy wiring use 96-98 ex harness(pretty much plug and play except converting the plug style of the SOHC vtec Knock sensor)
swap OBD0 injectors for OBD2 injectors
swap dizzy for OBD1/OBD2 DOHC VTEC dizzy
swap PR3/PW0 ecu for P72 OBD2a 96-99 GSR ecu/P30 obd2A/obd1 ecu with converterharness
Add CFK sensor to crank region(or run obd1 electrionics)

have fun

I would but iv already got so much money in the a1 like pistons, rods, cams, porting, ext, that it would be a throwing money out.

Yes screw trying to convert the pre-OBD engine to OBD2 or trying to convert the car and engine to OBD1 - sell the first-gen B16A and buy the correct B16A2 swap.

actually if you do the process in a decent manner you wont be out that much.

sell cable tranny 350-400, get gsr tranny for 450-500
sell obd0 dizzy 125-130, get obd1 dizzy or odb2 dizzy 150
buy obd1/obd2 injectors 50 a set
sell PR3/Pw0 125, get P06 ecu chipped for his spec of engine from Kenji 40 for ecu and 100 for chipping(140)
converter harness from jdmshit,boomslang,kenji,90blownhatch(78-150 shipped)
do your own custom wiring from your DX harness to DOHC VTEC(is easy), or i can do it for you for $60 shipped back to you.

not that bad to go OBD1, just watch out for obd2....BS CFK sensor

I'd never pair a B16A with a longer geared GS-R tranny.

gearing isn't that bad, if you have a Y1 cable tranny then your basically stuck with GS-r gears.
if you have an S1/J1 your going to lose some accelration.

WTF?

The JDM S1/J1 has THE shortest gears of all cable trannies except for the YS1 GS-R/JDM Xs-i tranny.

Where are you getting your specs from?
