Default Alternator ground

Hey guys, I wanted to know if the alternator has a ground point? I took a look at it today and it has one green plug and it has a wire with a ring terminal with a boot over it. I just bought a ground kit and I want to make sure, as I dont want to damage the alternator.

I know it's a newbie question, but I need to know! Thanks in advance!

the ring terminal w/ the boot on it is the + wire, it goes to the fuse box, so dont ground that.

your alternator is connected to your engine by way of metal. What better ground is there?
