H22 HEAD GASKETS
SWEET MAN THANX FOR THE INFO, THATS WHAT I THOUGHT BUT I WASNT SURE. CAN YOU USE THE A4 ON THE CLOSED DECK OF THE A1, IF I HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT ONE FOR THE A4 BUT I DECIDE TO USE IT ON THE A1.

"a1 is for a closed deck block, 14 is for an open deck block.
match the gasket and block."
I would assume you would have problems because one gasket is designed to seal water jackets, the other is not. In my opinion, its better to spend a little more to use the parts that are supposed to be used
