I'm having trouble finding my dipstick..i think i found where it's SUPPOSED to be but there's a black cap on top of it...can you guys make sure this is where the dipstick is supposed to be? it's in the middle of the picture with a black cap



btw sorry for the big picture..just want you guys to be able to see it...also, side-note..the tranny bolts are the tightest pieces of **** ever!!!

 

mtf - manual transmission fluid

If you have a manual, you don't need to check the dipstick. Just drain fluid, put bolt back in. Take fill bolt out, fill with fluid until it starts coming back out, put bolt back in.

 

auto tranny has red or orange dipstick. manuals have a fill hole. he is right

 

i took off the filler bolt..but how the hell do i pour fluid into it when it's sideways?

Try using a funnel that has a flexible hose at the end. Fill the hole until fluid overflow.

 

thanks for the suggestion guys...i ended up using the straw method...i dipped the straw into the tranny container, put my thumb on one end and then moved the straw into the filler hole, and released my thumb and the fluid went in...ended up doing it for an hour thanks everyone!!!

ok no seriously..i couldn't get the funnel to be at a high enough angle so i ended up creating a beer bong and then extended the rubber hose to the side of my car and poured it down from there..thanks for all the help i guess
