Default Replacment antenna?

How hard is it to take out the antenna on our cars to replace it with and autozone type of antenna. Does it unscrew from the outside or what?

It is very easy to remove an antenna from our model. On the top is a cap that is screwed on. You may need to use a pair of needlenose pliers to remove it. Next, you have to remove the interior paneling and you will see two (2) nuts that you will have to remove with a 10mm. Then there is a a hose that displaces water remove that, the power source clip remove that as well, then you have to remove the antenna. Now for the AutoZone unit it has more wiring (5+ wires) Vs. Stock 3 wire source. Also, it doesnt have the same bolt up as the stock. So its up to you, if you wish to rewire it with the AutoZone $40 unit or just try and get another stock unit. My advise is you get a a good used working unit to make it simple and easy.
