Ractive heatshield air filter

Would switching from a generic intake filter from ebay to a heat shielded filter by ractive yield any gains? Less heatsoak? I have had a hard time finding any reviews on this product. Eck

i use one of those shields so my filter wont get when when i go over a puddle...
