Default LOTS of PICS H22a DYI ITBs

well you guys have been waiting for some pics oe my progress so here they are

getting started from the custom flange and runners

making sure there straight...kinda hard cause the rubber hose (bought from a big rig store ...its 1 7/8 rad hose) is alittle small for the runners but just right for the itb

a pic on how far off the linkage is gonna be

they line up ok ..not the greatest but should be better than using the stock mani and flange

lots of clean up to do on the flange ...

a look at the 3/8 steel brake line i used to space them out ...also the injectors need to be bored out to 3/8 to fit in nice and still have the nipple on the end in tact

final spacing with the fuel rail sitting in place

fuel rail again with lude injectors

again but from the front

finished product all spaced as if it were stock ...just not liek stock ...or somthign

again

heres some shots of the flange area ...keep in mind i have a lot of work to do on the flange stil

im am going to be running the injectors on the bottom so it puts the tps and throttle cables on the right sides and i think it will look kinda stealth ...well as stealth as they can look ....no velocity stack or filters yet ..i just wanna make sure its gonna work before i buy that stuff...im kinda broke

spacers were made from 3/8 brake line with some washers to keep thrm flush
all spacing was done with the fuel rail on as it would make or brake the fit to the flange and runners...even though the runners were welder with out spacing done ...but it was as easy as centering each one with the port . Runners 1 and 4 are a little of center but its not to bad ...hope fully it wont mess up the flow to much

injectors were bored out to 3/8 on a drill press ...its pretty easy i just held it level with my hand and went up in drill bits till i reached 3/8. i also grinded away a little bit of metal were the in gsxr fuel rail bolted on the make a bit more room for the injector (this is not a must ...i just wanted it to fit good so i could space properly and not have to worriy if they were jamed to much)

vac canisters are almost done ..made them out of 1 1/2 pcv with barbed plumbing fittins from home depot....

What i did do is make 2 seperate ones ..one just for MAP (its a smaller volume) and another for brake bosster fuel pressure and what ever else im forgeting
im hopeing by not having to much volume for the MAP it will react nice and quick...and the other vac needs wont hog it all......

thats all i can think about right now ...any questions ask away

BTW its on a stock jdm h22a with 2.5 exaust and a p08 ecu ..so im not wot\rried about EGR or anythign ....well see how it turns out ..

all thats left is a braket for the fuel rail ,weld some meatl in so the linkage works and finsh vac cannisters

how much room are you going to have between the tb's and the fire wall? could you get pipes on the ends?

i know these are for na/, but how do you about feel about 4 pipes coming off those, going into 1 on a built turbo setup?

my machine shop the other day was talking about taking the lower part of the stock itm and bolting 2 tb's to it.

what was the ID (inside diameter) on the round end on the runners?

How did it match when ovaled at the flange in comparison to the head?

Damn man. It looks nice and all, but I just couldnt do that. Injector placement runner length... all that stuff can change how good the engine works. Seems like you had better do your homework before you try something like this. Props though

ya lots of home work has been done
...the injector spots arnt to far form factory so it should be fine

runner length was made by what many people have done as well as recomendations from a good tuner...if worse comes to worse i can just make them longer or shorter ...all depends

I wanna know how it works out though. Dont get me wrong. Love to see some good gains on it, and it would give me a reason to open my $7k dollar tool box and build some ****
