Where can I get machinable nylon?
I got some delrin to use for a bushing @ Tap Plastics. I am not sure if that will work for you but.....
Hmmm. On 2nd thought, I am not sure they have Tap in GA.

You can get a rubber sanding puck from Sears for a few bucks and they are the same size as the saddle IIRC.
Think they have them in a couple sizes. I used one for a couple years on the track car (flipped conically down into a sears 1.5ton jack. I have used it flipped flat side down on the race jack but don't remember for what purpose).

Hey, that makes me think of this solution. You should be able to go to a good hardware store & get the reinforced rubber. You buy it by the foot. It is tough as hell & comes in various thickness. Prep the jack & the pad & glue with a silicon glue.
