Hey does anyone have any pictures or good directions or diagrams on how to bolt on a 97 itr lip to the 94-97 bumper style? i have one and we can't figure out how to get it to bolt up. I got it off ebay so chances are its not gonna fit perfect... but i just want to see if anyone has any good pictures or diagrams, maybe like step by step? or under the bumper pictures to show how you did it...

also where did u put screws in and/or double sided tape?

 

i dont have pictures, but if you bought an aftermarket one, just pre-fit it and draw where it should go with a grease pen. Use the double sided tape and stick it on, then i used 2 screws on each side on the front of the wheel well.

 

yeah but the lip has 3 tabs that stick out. one in the middle and 2 near each side. and we have no idea wtf it goes to. it's weird.

 

Stock style 97R lipe from ebay? Link to another one?

 

WELL IF IT is REAL

then you have to mark the two holes onthe sides with greas and test fit it so it leaves a mark onthe bumper lower for you to drill out the two holes needed per side. then if you look under the car and compare it to the lip it will need about 6-8 fastnuts and bolts . all the spots to mount the fastnuts are on the uncer side of the bumper.

i have a sir inttegra vtec lip and it mounts the same as the itr 97.

good luck. i don't have any pics or instructions so you'll have to wing it, and get it done witha lil brain power.

It was new, it is now broken on both sides. ca't tell from thepics but i can.

i can order anyone that wants an oem type r lip for a 94-97 bumper at 325.00 plus shipping. oem part number is 71110-st7-r00zz usually sells for 425.00

i work at an acura dealership so is is an OEM part. one drawback, since the 97 type r only came in champ white. the spoiler is painted champ white as well. which means unless you have a champ white paint job you will need to get it painted unless you want to look like a lego car?
