integra wit CTR cams
i have a gsr and im thinking about put CTR cams in... i was wondering if u felt a difference with in it and if u had to do other mods like ecu, fuel pressure reg., or difference valve springs? thanks for the help...
With CTR/01 ITR camshafts(pair)
Same low end, if not a loss from the smaller lobe height totals... but vtec definitely hits harder... If you dont raise your vtec point to around 4700 or higher, then you will have a drag/bog between 4400 and 4800 rpms.
A vafc(or any vtec controller) is the minimum requirement, the FPR and ECU will help with tuning but is not necessary for minor bolt ons with cams.
I recommend most of the parts in my sig, although I need to get the VAFC2 tuned... it has all the stock fuel maps right now and fuel pressure was only bumped up a notch... so im not seeing my power potential, and I can feel the non-linear power curve because of this(noticible when punching it from 1k-8k in 1st gear)
I recommend them for a nice upgrade without loosing the honda reliability.
AND IF YOU WANT TO REV HIGHER THAN 8K, GET THE VALVESPRINGS OR YOU WILL FLOAT/BEND VALVES.

i have CTRs in my car aswell, and like them soo far
i also have a PnP head though with valve springs but i did notice a good difference in mid range after tuning. and i make power to 8k now which is nice
Im actually looking to upgrade to skunk stage 2's so if anyone interested in a trade plus cash
