I tried a search, but 56k really sucks.

Where are you guys getting longer studs when using the hondata intake manifold gasket?

Thanks

i dont get it... why do you people need these extended studs? whats wrong with your normal ones? i have seen 3 different intake manifold installs with the hondata gasket and none of them required extended studs.....

I agree with you...I don't think they'll need the studs unless they are using the washers.

Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to check the new gasket with my new IM on the head. The gasket is not actually manufactured from hondata, I got it from another guy who had them prototyped and it is made out of 1/8" teflon. I believe I ordered it through keith at chilly banana, he has used these gaskets with no problems for over 2 yrs I was told.

I was just curious if I needed the longer studs or not. Thanks for the help guys, see you soon dax!

Only need them with the washers, otherwise not needed.

I wish I had my head here to test it out. On the H series I am almost positive the stock studs will not be long enough.

I would upload pictures from my gallery if I could, but my computer is fucked up. The stock gasket looks about 1/16 of an inch, the one I have now is 2x as thick. Judging from my pictures there is hardly any threads showing when using the stock studs. I'm going to order the longer ones just to be safe, $8 bucks isn't going to make me broke

Since we are reviving old threads...has anyone used the AN-R gasket that is similar to the Hondata? It is only $30 or so.

I'll post the part number tomorrow, I just installed some last week.

I am running the hondata IM gasket with a GE IM and it looks to me like the stocks would have fit perfectly.
