Default Soo uhhh; should my 90 civic have a radio cage?

I bought the car with no stereo in it or anything but the cut wires and such still are there. But there is a LOT of room around the area where the stereo should be.

So what i'm wondering if there is supposed to be some sort of cage there tht the radio sits in? and if there isn't then how does one mount a radio in there? i still have the little cage for my pioneer DEH-P730 but there is entirely too much room there tomake it fit.

fcm is right. If you ever see one, it is almost like honda put in an aftermarket mount kit from the factory.

Go to a junkyard and get one and you will know what I am talking about.

Try making a WTB post in the H-T classifieds.

Also, an aftermarket mount kit company like Metra might make replacement units.
