hey guys, i found a turbo off of a 900 saab, anyone know anything about these?... i thought for a whole 30.00 it might be worth my time..... sorry to sound lame but i alittle new to this whole turbo thing.... i have a td05 off of a dodge conquest.... it is a 12g and is really small..... so what are your opinions on the saab garett T3's?

 

Saab 900 and 9000s are usually Garrett T3 .42/ .48 turbos. Not a bad turbo. For $30 go for it. Check for shaft play.

 

I can almost guarentee you for 30 dollars its not going to be functional. You get what you pay for. However, if it turns out to be legit then def pick it up, those go for around 150-180 when freshly rebuilt.

 

yea cool i think i will... got to get it tomorrow when i go and get a tranny... i found 2 '91 si trannys for 59.00 each.... hell im going to get them both..... anyone know how much to rebuild a T3 turbo?
