distrib prob?
I have a b16a(2) with obd-0 dist. and injectors in a 90 rex Si.
The dist (td-22U) siezed up on me the other day and i tried to replace it. Originally i got a 89-91 CRX dist that was suppost to work. It started the car but it ran ROUGH, not good.
When my old dist went bad my car was pulling into the driveway and it lurched and almost stalled (not my driving).
Finally i ordered in a td-22u dist and put it in and got the same thing as the crx dist (virtually, 22u worked slightly better) However there is not enough play in the dist to bring my car into time (the red dot is still 1/4-1/2 inch away). So it runs ROUGH. Also the closer it gets to being in time the harder it is to start and it runs super rich.
The question is when my old dist siezed up is it possible that my timeing belt jumped and is now off one notch. If thats the case, how do i tell, because from are initial checking it appears to be fine (we poped off the valve cover and lined up the white mark and the dohc marks [up]).
Any further clarification needed let me know.
Oh one other difference, in the new distributor the nipple???
that goes into the engine is a little bit narrower than the old one.

CRX non obd distributor will work but you're limited to any adjustments in timing because of the way the bolts are set up...I think that's probably why your car wasnt running right. Just get a B16A (nonobd) distributor and go from there...
*I have one for sale by the way $150 shipped...I see them being sold on the Classifieds section too between $120-$150 depending on its condition but looking at your member status, dont think you can post on that section yet...lemme know.
