The ZC and tranny should weight around 200-250 pounds. The engine will be rated as a Class 85. I'm not sure who you're dealing with but if it's an Engine Importer they should know of a shipping company that can transfer your shipment to another shipping company in new mexico. That's how some of it is done. If you want to, you could look in the phone book for a trucking company and see if they do LTL (Less than TruckLoad) shipments meaning your shipment will not take up the whole truck. Some of them refuse to take anything less than a truckload to save time and trouble delivering every single item.

Or you could go with FedEX Freight. They swallowed up Viking Freight I think and they're basically their freight carrier now and they have pretty much fixed rates like 30% off standard charge (at least I think it's 30%).

Say, you take the 200 pounds and multiply that by the class rating which is in percents which is .85 so 200*.85=$170 For fedex itd be like $119 or something like that. (If the class rating is greater than 100 it'd be 1.XX) but engines/trannys are always class 85.

Hope this helps.

Janos

My dohc ZC was shipped as 300lb, and I agree fully with 90efcrx, the tranny is like 75, if not more. Shoot for 400ish.

My DOHC ZC was listed as 265lbs when I got it shipped from Nippon Motors. This was just the long block.
