H22 in 94 integra.. need help. could this be a motor mount?
i got a H22 in my 94 integra. i got pretty much all the basic bolt-ons you could think of. but my car is really heavy. got some 19's on there. body kit molded on the car. its a show car. but one night i was trying to race. i took the RPM to like 4 grand. the axel snapped. Which was the passenger side that broke. Now we replaced the axel. we used 94 gsr axels. now when we drive the car hella vibrates when your going like 40-45. it hella virbrates. when i turn left it hella shakes. when you turn right its really smooth. What is wrong?? help me. email me back to

What intermediate shaft are you using? Typical setup for an H22 EG/DC is the 90-93 Accord intermediate shaft and 90-93 Integra axles. The 94-01 Integra and 90-93 Integra passenger axles are very close to the same. The real difference is in the driver's side axles. There are many possiblities, axle might not be seated properly, might not re remanufactured properly, etc.
What mounts did you use? The manufacturer of your mounts should tell you what axles to use as this will be dictated by where your motor sits in the bay and how long/short your axles need to be. Mine did the same thing, the axle on the passenger side was too long and was binding making an awful vibration, especially when veering/steering left. Keep in mind, mine had LSD and in the H series, the LSD tranny was longer by a 1/2 inch. What fixed it for me was to replace the passenger side axle with an 86-89 Integra axle (shorter) and had it refitted with a 92-96 prelude inner joint. Your tranny LSD?

Well it sounds like your axle is binding (too long), usually for a non LSD H22 into a 94-01 Integra, they say to use 90-93 integra axles. I used HCP mounts and they said 94-01 DC axles. Sucks cause Hasport website doesn't recommend any specific axle usage, they want you to buy their custom ones. (400 USD

Not sure what to say .... mounts and engine placement would tend to dictate axles. You can probably pick up some 90-93 DC rebuilds for fairly cheap, make sure the fit is good and give em a try is all I can say. With projects like this it's often trial and error process. If it still binds on the passenger side? Use an 86-89 DC axle (1/2 to 3/4 inch shorter) with a 92-96 Prelude inner joint ... it's what did the trick for me. Good luck!
