The 16's don't help either(if you have stock gearing)

my best 60' is after i installed my Z10 bars, i had a 2.08 60' and the bars werent pre loaded the whole way(maybe one turn)but i ran my best 1/4 time(13.9) with a 2.27 60'. i rev the car around 5000-5500 and ride the clutch till it hits vtec and then let it out,80000 miles on my stock clutch so it cant hurt that bad

be as hard on your tires as you can!
burn them 555's up!
then just launch at 5k and get it to grip
feathering.

2.2 with toyo Fz4's and they suck!!

I have the BFG Drag radials and my best 60' time w/22lbs. is 2.175. my time was 14.6, and the track is @ 4500 ft. elev. That was launching @ 7300 rpm.

I got a 2.28 on 215/40 R16 pirelli P7000s, which don't actually stick as well as my RE010s did...27 PSI, it was cold as hell, the wheels were volks which probably didn't hurt. Lauched from about 4500 RPM, did not feather clutch.

wow, i suppose i should try two things next time:

1. dumping the clutch fully at 5k with gradually applying gas depending on traction
2. feathering out the clutch from higher than 5k

thanks

I wouldnt just dump it. It takes practice, a lot of it. Just try different things, different RPMs, and the feathering thing works. I pull a few 2.0 on Nitto drag radials. On street tires I could do 2.2's prety much all day long. I run 22-24 PSI in the drag radials, and about 27-29 in the RE010's. Good luck... PRACTICE

yeah dump that **** higher. With my stockers, I couldn't get better than 2.4, but central florida tracks suck. Gotta test out my new tires though

I used to pull 2.0s on Nitto Drag Radials as well. Its all about the practice and learning what works best for you and your car. You could dump or feather, depending what kind of wear you don't mind putting on that clutch and tranny. I tried to find a happy medium, not necessarily dumping at 5-6k, but not necesarrily fetahering either. Just PRACTICE!!

Try running a little less air in the right front. On street tires, 23 on right side, and 25-27 ont he left front. I think that is what i used to run in my 99 Si.
