Added a resonator to exhaust. Quick question.
I recently added a resonator to my exhaust setup. It sounded to raspy and loud. Resonator helped by making it alot more quieter. My question is, after getting it installed and I went for a test drive my car seems abit slower. Is it just me or does it take a few horses off. It did its job by making my car have a slightly deeper tone and none raspy tone but I just thought it felt like it is hurting performance somehow?
I could be misinformed, but I've been told that a resonator provides no back pressure, thats it lowers volume by reflecting sound waves and causing them to cancel each other out. The one resonator I've seen in person you could pick up and look straight through.
You know how it is, the louder it is, the faster it goes, right?
Its probably just a perception effect.

yea, i think you're fine..as long as the piping is all the same diameter you have nothing to worry about
exhaust sounds so much better with a resonator
