which turbo setup would be faster on a 98 civic ex coupe?
98 civic ex coupe with i/h/e and greddy turbo with intercooler at basic boost
or
98 civic ex coupe with same i/h/e and drag gen II at basic boost
running down the quarter mile and down a street.

i/h/e and turbo? not possible. in my opinion... greddy turbo and drag turbo are both good. you'll probably make more power w/ the drag kit. But then again... check out Greyzone's setup (greddy kit).
No matter what greyzone's putting out, the T3/4 will out blow the Mitsu turbo any day of the week. Hehe..running 5 PSI on a DRAG would be like 30 PSI on a Greddy!

It was a joke (more like exageration), but even at 6 PSI there should be quite a difference, more so when you're really pushing it. I think the DRAG would put out 15-20 HP more, but I put mine together from scratch ... hopefully in a week or so we'll see the results but it should slaughter any sissy boy kit
(the sissy part is another joke for you members of the P-C patrol!)

Maybe it's just because of individual tuning and different set ups, but I've seen a lot of high 13 sec. time slips from greddy powered D16's than Drag powered Civics??!???! Not saying Drag is a bad kit, because I plan to buy one, but the greddy does seem to be a great bang for the buck.

yea there's not doubt the T3/T4 is gonna out flow a TD04 at higher psi, but for mid range mild boost, the GReddy get's the job done without alot of fuss. If I could do it over again, I'd probably wait a little more, do a little more research and end up with a DRAG or F-Max kit for my SOHC, but I'm still very happy with my GReddy

you really need to do more research before you get either setup if you think you can use i/h with turbo.
also, turbo is all a matter of tuning. you can get a $5000 Top Fuel turbo kit from Japan and run it untuned and run slower than you did WITHOUT it. trust me, i've done that.
but i'm happy with my rev hard kit and some nice v-afc tuning... equals a VERY nice timeslip.
