Bzzzt!! Sorry! You aren't in the "cheap-to-insure" age group (excepting married youngins). Plus, you're thinking about a 600RR. Insurance will definitely NOT be cheap. I went through Geico for my insurance - $350/year full coverage (25yrs, single, two tickets). But then again, I ride a dinosaur...

i'm 21 with a clean record
cheapest i could find for full coverage was 2200 a year. although it seems that if you have your car insurance with farmers, then it should be considerably cheaper to insure the bike.

My bro just bought an rr hes 22 first bike it was 600 to start his policy and you are only allowed to purchase full coverage insurance on a finance unless you are buying the bike in which you can just have liability but you will get fucked if you get it stolen chief.

State Farm seems to be consistently lower on their rates but you have to insure your car with them too then ya get the multi-vehicle discount.
Won't be cheap but higher deductibles help - remember to get uninsured motorist coverage.
Typically insuring a bike that is 5 or more years old is when the rates get "cheap" (I know cuz until just a very few years ago, that's what I had ta do).

so is this 600$ for full coverage or liability?

yeah its goign to be really hard to find cheap "full coverage" insurance. i got qouted $1700/year for my 2000 r6. so what i did is i payed the bike off and just got liability and comp. $609/year (thats $150 for 4 payments). i dunno where you live but here in washington you dont need any type of insurance but if you finance, thats where you need comp and collision.
so my suggestion to you is maybe save (if you have not gotten the bike yet) up for a lot of down payment so you only need full coverage for awhile or just pay the bike in full...
