max reliable bore on stock F23 sleeves?
yes, you probably can bore to 87mm, but i really would not go beyond that...
also, you could probably safely rev to 7k, but not beyond...just because you will be using prelude pistons does not mean that you can rev like one...the f23 (and f22 for that matter) have really tall r/s ratios and make them shitty for revving high...many people who have built themselbes h23 vtec motors (which use the same crank as the f22/f23's) have grenaded because of the high revving...the h22 uses a much shorter r/s ratio which enables its 7200 or 7400 rpm redline...
also, another idea would be to swap out the crank and rods from the h22 as well, though, in order to make the bottom end rev higher...but you will still be using the f23 sleeves which do not dissipate heat as well as the h22 sleeves...i'm not 100% positive that this crank will easily swap into the f23 block, but i really don't see why not...you may have to deck the block a little bit...but it might be cheaper than an h22...???

Pirate,
I'm interested in the H23 head you have for sale. I tried your profile's email address - it failed. Being new to the board, I cannot IM, or post and reply to classified ads.
Please email me at smsikor@attglobal.net
Thanks, Steve
