Does anyone have a close up pic of their bumper where the plate goes with out the plate plugs or plate attached. I had some old civic plate plugs laying around and was gonna put them in but they won't fit. I think whoever owned it before me might have fukked with it or something. Can anyone post a pic for me? Thanks. Is there anything behind the holes? The 2 inner ones on mine have like to metal things in them for like screwing the plate on but my plugs don't fit. I don't think theres anything in the the other outter ones. I would take a pic but my gf have the cord for uploading them to my computer...........grrrrrrr

The civic ones might be different. Just go buy them at an Acura dealer. They're damn cheap....so cheap that they might just give them to you for free. I tried to buy 2 sets but they just gave them to me.

 

as you neglected to mention front or rear, i guess you were referring to the front bumpers now.

yes the bolts screw into something behind the bumper hence the license plate hanging. The previous owner may have put a wider threaded bolt in and messed up your threading.

I went there and asked for some but they said they didin't have and and the had to order some for me. I passed.

I think the original mount is missing and they put like 2 metal plugs in the 2 inner holes. It may be that the Acura ones have longer things on the back of the plugs cause the civic ones I have are to short to fit into the holes.

You have to have the ones specific to your year bumper style. Only 94-97 will fit 94-97 and same with 98-01.
