Sorry to burst everyones bubble but theres more to cams than lift and duration...

Your forgetting ramp...

ramp is something that cant be measured or copied unless you have the actual cams on a cam doctor...

Lift and duration could be idnetical but with out the exact ramp specs your not going to have anywhere near a "replica" of the original

Thats a rumor...

Even if they were able to purchase the blanks from the same manufacturer they would not be able to purchase the EXACT cores... Honda is a large corporation that takes every legal precaution there is to ensure that prepriatary information/materials and manufacturing agreements stay 100% Honda owned and controlled...

Honda has stretegic contractual limitations with each of their outsourced manufacturers limiting them from the sale or resale of Honda products, materials or supplies...

Trust me on this

Thats true but in japan honda works hand in hand with a lot of racing developers and their way of business is diffrent over there than it is here.

The only thing I do not like Jun is their cam gears, they tend to rust after a few years.

And the little itty bitty allan bolts suck. I had to replace all of mine with hex bolts.

do not forget , JUN are milled and one peice , if your cam if regrind they add material then grind it down, theyre not as strong or solid, just save your money and get the real thing IMO, i mean once you buy a reground and find its not the same your out the money and have to sell and get what you wanted to start, so in the end i find it cheapoer to get the real thing first, pertaining to internal engine mods here

JUN uses solid blanks that are ground to spec...

Regrinds dont use added material... Material is removed from the bottom of the lobe which moves the centerline of the comshaft up a little higher, that is where lift is gained... Than, the top portion or, "peak" of the lobe is reshaped...

Adding material to an OEM core is refered to as "hard welding"... This is when material is added to the lobe, reshaped and then heat treated...

Can I use stock valvetrain to run Jun cams? I won't rev over stock limit so I wonder if this would work.

Besides I have been running Type S cams with stock valvetrain for over 4 years, no problem what so ever.

Those with JUN cams:

Does your engine makes ticking sound from these cams? Heard a few ppl said that JUN cams will make weird noise, is that true?
