Default Used turbochargers?

I just purchased a used T3 from a nissan 300zx off of ebay. How would I go about testing the condition of the turbo? The turbo looks fine, should i test anything else on it? Thanks for any input.

hrmm... Mine spins surely. But not very very freely. There is some friction. Is that bad?

does the friction feel rough or do you mean it just doesn't keep on spinnnig freely for a while? Try squirting some oil through it, and spin it. If there's oil coming out teh wheels then your turbo is gone... needs a rebuild.
