it's been a while since I did this.
Take the steering knuckle and put it in a vise.
We used that tool. The one we used was like 12" long. It was a big momma one.
That autozone one looks like crap.
One person was holding the knuckle and the other was working the tool.
We pushed the ball joins out, flipped the tool around and pushed back in.
Basically it was a bitch.
Take the knuckes to a suspension shop and let them do it.
it's worth the money IMO.
Although it can be done at home it's a pida.

Where are you stuck?
Getting the Tapered part out of the lower arm, or getting the complete ball joint out of the knuckle?
For the tapered part...
What you really want to use is something like this

(Appropiately sized, of course)
And since you're never going to use them again anyway, this will do also.

As far a pushing the whole thing out of the knuckle....
A large deep socket and a big *** hammer.
I replaced mine after 150k, took the snap ring out, put the castle nut back on, then beat the living **** out of it. Its all about a good hit. Was fairly easy.
Jack it up really high so you can have a lot of leverage.

This is basically what I did, but I had the knuckle out of the car. It was very easy to do, then I tapped the new ones in, no sweat.
Just don't forget to take out the snap ring

knuckle out, in a vise.
air hammer that ****-send it accross teh shop.
reinstall with air hammer and a impact socket that is about the same diameter as the ball joint.
5 minute job for the capable and if you have tools.
