I recently purchased two neon tubes that came with cigarette adapters.

I put one directly into the lighter, and spliced the other one into that cord.

Now, only one of those is working (the one directly to the lighter)

Whats up with that? Is there a positive and negative wires?

More importantly, where is another 12 volt source I can tap into thats near the front two seats? Thanks again

Where are there other 12 volt sources in a car?

 

PRETTY MUCH ALL THE STUFF

cig lighter, door jam light, dome light, cd player, etc

 

hay or you just might want to tap into a fuse underneath the dash on the driver side. but like posted any power source is running 12v.

 

there are so frickin many 12v sources. i would use the power wire in the cd player.
