second question, does the R motor come with aluminum sleeves or iron sleeves. i want to change them cause im eventually planning to boost 15-18 lbs.
EDM Accord Type R used an H22a.....is that what your talking about??....or is it a 6th gen JDM Accord Euro-R??
they have aluminum sleeves......if u wanna boost your H to 15 psi, sleeves is not the only concern.....11:1 compression + 18psi of boost = KAAABOOOOMMM

youll NEED a standalone ECU.......i would also suggest getting some "custom" cams designed to maximize turbo h22's potential.....ull wanna replace all internals, and beef up the drivetrain......

i am one step ahead of youon the axles. Im having extremley strong axles made with oem size. Its alot of money for the custom work but its worth it.
You are stupid as hell if you are gonna do that. Why would you buy a motor out of a Euro-R and then tear it apart just to boost it. Why not just buy a regular h22 and and then boost that.

Well I want the type r motor first of all because its kinda rare. Also, money really isnt an issue its just going rare, you dont often see boosted type r swaps. I know the h22 is more cost wise, but I want type r.
h22 = type R.....
you just wanna be able to put a HYPE ARRRRHHHH emblem on your car
why would u have already made the axles, if u didnt have the tranny or motor even decided on yet, let alone in your possesion

cosmetically their is no difference between the accord type r motor and the h22 other than a red valve cover and the intake manifold (which can be bought from honda if you so desire)...both motors say h22a on them and actually have the same part numbers from honda...you might as well get an h22 if you plan on boosting and upgrade to an intake manifold that works well with boost...no need to waste money, even if it's not an issue...also, where exactly is it that you are getting this type r motor, as they are extremely rare...
also, by boosting an atr motor, you will be removing and replacing everything that makes the type r motor what it is...this is an ignorant idea if i do say so myself...

than build an n/a motor that will make lots of power...keep the heritage of the type r n/a as it belongs...

lmao...my first response was you have to ask yourself though is it worth it just to say it just essentially came out of a type r? anyway i agree its silly but again do what you want. in your first post you said "ok its decided"...dont let us change your mind. it wont really be a tpe r on the inside if you wanna boost that much but its got that purdy red v.c hahaha.....
