no..just knock it out and replace it with a new one. Probably gonna be like $5. You have to take off the caliper to do it!

same for any car with discs, shouldnt take ya that long, just grab a beer and when ever you get frustrated, pound it.

it's easy with a press and air tools!

but i say take the hub off, pound that bitch out with a big hammer, then pound the new one in, with the big *** hammer.

on a friends car i used a hammer to tap the studs out, then used an open lug nut with a deep socket and an impact gun to torque the nut down which pulls the stud in all the way after like 20 sec.... works really well, but you gotta have the impact wrench.

Working at a shop has it's benifits.

good luck mang!

the good thing about it, is that its one of those jobs where since it doesnt come out too easily you get to hit it harder when frustrated...which is good

similar to the damn lower ball joint when trying to separate the lower arm

Have the hub pressed out. Do NOT pound it out like many are suggesting.

I made the mistake of listening to the same advice when I had my DA Integra and I ended up having to replace the hub. The hub did not stay together when I pounded it and the bearings got fucked to hell.

With a press, it can be done in under 3 minutes and you won't be stuck replacing a $50-$60 (going on memory for price) hub. Do it correctly and save yourself the headache.

yea it takes some time anywere from 20-60 minutes depending on how many times you have done it. And i would replace all four for shi$s and giggles just in case your other studs are wore out, there cheap anyways. Its a bi*$h to get out but you should be able to do it.

If you're trying to actually take off the hub, you're going to have to seperate it from the knuckle. I think you'd have to use a press to do that though.
