d16a6 Sohc. How much in NA form
Right, first off, my D16a6 engine is in a Rover Tomcat (The 2 dr Coupe).
I'm all the way over in england, parts for this engine are really hard to come by over here so i don't mind getting bits from the US.
Im rebuilding it and planning to rev to about 7200 maybe 7500, a bit of head work, a stage 1 or 2 cam with harder valve springs and obviously different management.
Could you please tell me what i will need to change in order to rev that hard, i will be running on 95 -97 RON fuel as thats what we use over here. Does the D16a6 respond well to this knid of tuning or will i have to change Rods/pistons and distributor and injectors and........you get what i mean.
Basically, im looking for around 150 bhp from it and decent reliability without spending absolutely loads.
Also, what management is favourite (fully mapable??)
Cheers

http://www.exospeed.com would probably be your one-stop shopping place for the a6
find a competent machine shop somewhere near you, take them your head, have them mill it .020 or so for a bit of extra compression. there are a couiple of choices as for cam and a few OEM pistons out there for a good bit more compression
