Cobalt friction pads, is their a honda tech discount?
I need some new street and track pads. Is there a discount that cobalt offers honda tech memebers? I sent Andie and email but didn't get a response. Does he still work there? Is there a number to reach him?
Thanks,
AW

Andie is frequently not there -- travels a lot I guess. But he's always responded to my emails eventually.
You can always call and talk to somebody; they have a toll-free number: (877) 562-9237.
[edit]I think it's 10% (not positive though) and just say you heard there was a Honda-Tech discount.

Yep, I got a 10% H-T discount both times I ordered from Cobalt, and neither time was for a Honda!
to Cobalt Brakes, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Thanks George. If you can believe it Andie emailed me. He has been busy with Lemans but was still able to return emails
I ended up ordering my pads through BlueR. I got a set of GT sports for the front and back as well as a front set of Spec VR's for the track. I can't wait to bed them. Not sure how it will go with the bedding but I don't believe they will be like bedding the Hawk Blue's I used to use. When those were cold, all you saw were sparks

No, it won't be anything like that. VR's have excellent cold bite but also hold their own at high temps. They're also so easy on the rotors that you find a few people running around on the street w/them.
