Default D15B VTEC - What timing Belt and Waterpump Are Needed?

I already searched, but to no avail. I need to know this for certain and as soon as possible. We had a customer ship a D15B VTEC engine to us and we are needing to replace the belts and waterpump on it, so if anyone knows 100% for certain which parts it takes I'd greatly appreciate it.

the car is currently tieing up a rack so the sooner the better, thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure this guy is right, JDM D15B is basically a D15/Z6 mini-me.

the deck height on the d15b block is shorter than the z6, hence less teeth on the belt. the block however is exactly the same as the vx block.

I dont think you know what your taliking about. When you do a mini-me swap you use the timing belt from the z6 not the d15. so when you have the d15b vtec motor you will not use a timing belt from a vx!! you will use the one form the z6!

SO STOP SPREADING FALSE TECH HELP

I have the D15B in my car and it has the 103 tooth P07 belt. P07 = VX

Well, I guess I was wrong too. Thought it was the Z6 belt that got used on a mini-me.

i know the guy in the parts dept and larry miller honda here in boise. i told him the story and he did some research for me. basicaly cross checking the part #'s for parts. and the jdm part # on the d15b vtec matches the us vx timing belt and water pump part #'s. i have a jdm d15b and i sat and slowly rotated the crank and counted the teeth on my belt. there are 103 teeth. i went to schucks and had them pull the belt for the z6, and there were 104. and i have the old b7 belt that have 106. and the vx belt has 103, so that would make the vx belt the riht one for the d15b vtec.

I bet the tensioner pulley is maxed out accounting for the extra length.

Reusing timing belts?

Like they said, use the VX belt.

Just to verify what all the others are saying:

I too ordered a VX timing belt and waterpump and I matched up the belt and waterpump to the D15B VTEc engine's stuff, and it was a 100% correct match right down to the number of ribs on the belt and teeth on the pump.

I was also able to do some internet research and get part numbers for the VXi (del Sol) D15B belt when I did my timing belt. It is the same as the VX belt. VX...VXi... The z6 might work, but it is definitely not the right belt.

i have personally tried the z6 timing belt on a d15b. IT DOESNT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

plain and simple, those saying z6 belt just dont know and have never tried it. when i tried the z6 belt it was way too lose even with the tensioner all the way tight.

i dont understand why this post is still going, like everyone has not only said, but also provided proof, the z6 belt is the WRONG belt. next thing you know someone is going to be saying they got a greddy 2jz timing belt to work on their mini-me. plain and simple, for the d15b vtec, use vx parts. period.

i used a 93 del sol vtec timing belt and water pump so booyea its right and worked on mine. vx belt is wrong and will wear your rollers and bushings. so no vx belt use a 93 del sol si timing belt and pump it has 104 teeth but fits perfect.
