Default removed side moldings ( yes i have searched)

what does it look like under the side moldings? I was thinking about taknig them off but i dont want a bunch of holes and such behind them.. Are they just glued on? Could i take them off and then remove all the adhesive stuff behind them and would i be done with it? Thanks

You'll be visiting the body shop or parts dealer if you remove them. There are a series of holes that the clips go into to keep the molding on. You could get them filled with body filler or go have them steel welded and sanded etc. Either way the doors and body will need to be painted.

there are nine square holes on each side if you decide to remove them. 6 on the door and 3 on the back quarter panel for each side. there is not adheisive glue, just clips. so if you dont want to get your door re-done, leave it alone.
