juss swapped in an LS, idles high, valves click
93 hatch, 94 ls motor
ok i swapped in my LS engine about 3 weeks ago. Im noticing that its idling high when the engine is cold. i dont have a tachometer but my guess is that its idling around 1200-1500rpms. also, seems like a valve from the #1 cylinder is clicking.
now, the throttle cable is as depressed as possible,(ls throttle cable). and i do have all my vacuum lines connected properly. so my question, whats a matter with my idle? and should a valve adjustment fix the clicking?
thanks

here's few things you need to do: make sure the throttle cable is within factory specs on the bracket and not binding or sticking in the cable cover, borrow a tachometer(pepboys, autozone, kragen rent them out) to get a accurate reading of your rpms and to help adjust it to factory specs, and last YES get a complete valve adjustment.
