92 front door speakers
a nice long flat head screwdriver, wedge it up there and pull slightly. start at the beginning of the door panel. like right near the hinge. ya get a nice pop. dont worry. it should bt all good. they just need some good convincing. also there is a screw where the door handle is, and a screw where the arm rest is. there might be more. im doing this process in my head. had to do this for mine though. nice infinity's
and was able to paint the speaker grill and arm rest to blend the tan and black better. good luck!

You have to take off the entire door panel, not just the speaker grill.

ok well i took off and changed the speakers with some nice pioneer ones... but the real problem is trying to get the speakers to work? the two front ones didnt work when i got the car and they still wont... any suggestions? thanks
you wired them, right?
Speakers huh? Easiest thing in the world. You just need to take the old ones off, not **** up wiring, and screw them back in. First thing I did.

i've messed with the speakers in my 91 quite a bit and you don't need to take off the panel to do so. just take out the two screws holding the grill in place, pop off the cover (it's held by two clips and rather hard to get off, just yank it off). then the speaker enclosure is held by four screws, two on top and two on bottom. the top ones are hard to get to, but quite possible. just make sure that when you replace the speakers you get the wiring right so they aren't out of phase.
i have taken off the door pannel and put in some new pionners in the stock ones place but i still cant get any sound out of either fron speaker... and yes the ballence on the cd player is set... so im not sure what it can be ive tryed the front speaker wires at the beggining of the wire harness and at the end and nothing? what should i try now?

I would say your radio has shot craps on you. One thing you can do is pull the radio out and put a 9v battery on the front speaker wires for about 1 second or less and see if it moves out or in. If the speaker doesn't move then you have a wiring problem or you’re on the wrong wires. But if they are the same color then I bet you’re on the right ones. If the speakers do move then your radio has bad outputs on it and needs replaced.
I just replaced the door speakers in my 93 last weekend after listening to BZZT BZZZZZZT ZZZT PHHHH for 2 weeks. The cones had separated from what was left of the surround and warped and were just about flat. I am amazed that they worked at all. When I replaced all 4 speakers at the same time I still noticed that my rear speakers where much louder then the front so I am not so sure that the front outputs on my radio are not damaged from trying to drive bad speaks.
Good luck

no its not the cd player because it did the same thing with the stock radio in it... its probably just the front speaer wire the guy before me who owned the car must have messed it up when he took out all his stuff he had in it before he solld it to me so im going to go kick his a$$ then see if i can just re wire them... thanks
Had a similar problem, not the same, but similar. It was one of the wire connectors on the back of the speaker had been touching the metal on the door itself. I just bent the connecting tabs on the back of the speaker so that it didn't touch anything, reconnected the wire, and it was fine thereafter.
