mpfi trouble - unknown plug ?? D15B2 -> D16A6
ok, i've got the D16A6 in place in my 90 DX 4dr..
a couple bolts here and there and a few solders and i'm done..
i ran into a stumper.. (not a huge concern, i'm not on a time limit)
i've got a plug i can't account for in my numerous mpfi research and printouts from various web pages..
on the back of the injector manifold on the drivers side, 1 inch below the PM-6, and HF-1 stamps, there seems to be a sensor thats threaded into the casting from underneath, with a short (4"?) length of wire and a rounded rectangular 2 contact female plastic wire connector..
nothing on my entire DX wiring harness matches up to this, and i haven't seen it noted in my mpfi conversion research. all of my other wires seem to be accounted for, unless i'm missing something..
anyone know what this is, and/or have instructions or links to instructions on what to do with it ?
a big TIA
chris

well, i know there are 3 DPFI plugs that go unused, but this is hanging off of the new MPFI intake manifold..
it's not part of my DX harness..

i just went and looked at mine. the plug i have hanging off is right under the stamp as you said. it's coming off of a round black sensor that has a vacum hose going to it from the intake manifold about an inch to the right from where the tb mounts to the manifold. i've left it unhooked from the very beginning and have not needed it or thrown any codes.
yes i believe that's it. i searched fast idle control valve in post bodies and found this.

sweet.. thanks man..
1 less thing to worry about..
hmm.. one more quick one.. this should be supremely easy.. heh
on the DX harness, right with the single wire that goes on the top of the alternator, there's a round green plug, with several pins.. i haven't really looked hard, but i had didnt see anything that looked like it went into.. with the single wire in place on top of the alternator, this round green one has to be close.. but i dont see anything.. does it plug into the alternator somewhere ? probably on the back where i cant see, right ?
