no, it should have a d16a6...1.6 liter non-vtec. I believe it's rated at ~108hp.

well your going to have to swap SOMETHING...the head at the least, which will also intitle swapping the intake and exhaust manifold, ect ect...youl also need a new ECU which would mean you'd have to do an obd1 conversion OR you could use a piggyback type system like a VAFC

 

hey if u want a vtec. get a b16a. i have heard only good things. if u get a 1st generation then it should bolt in easy as oppose to having to buy a kit. a b16 had 160hp and 8200 redline. thats what im getting for my 1990 crx si. good luck!

 

as in kit you mean without the mounts right?

that's a hefty fee...

 

B-series NEED kits to mount into 88-91 cars.
