Default Stupid Climate control idea

I know a girl that's parting out a GSR. She'll sell me the climate control/center console for like $50. Do you guys think I could even get it to pretend to be a part of my car? I'm getting desperate looking for a good climate control and my Honda dealership quoted me $350 for a new one...

Personally I dont think its worth the effort, from the demeanor of your post, you just want the thing to work right, not customize it w/ a gsr climate control. Ebay has 6 of them on there now, Im sure you could get one for $50, same price as your friends.

People have done it and it can be done. If you spend the time and $ to make it work it will be sweet. Good luck

I believe it's a '98 'teg. I'm pretty sure she's still selling the engine, but the price is pretty steep ($5000...). I can ask if parts are available if anyone's interested...

As far as the climate controls, is there a way to reinforce them if I were to go with a stock unit? I don't want it to fall aprt in a year.
With the Ebay sales, by the time the auctions are over those things are going for near $100.
Is the time and effort worth the Integra unit? Will it look stupid? I could also stick the armrest in too. I'm having a hard time picturing it, but I'm sorta anxious to try it out....
